This is Rebecca and I want to know wtf is up with the cellar door. Is it some cult? I keep seeing it randomly. Or is it just the reference to Donny Darko? Because the word 'the' is not part of it.
It is a combination of things. T'is a reference to Donny Darko, however, it is also believed by many to be the most beautiful phrase in the english language. In this case, it is a metaphor. I believe some of my blogs to be opening a sort of "Cellar Door" into some sort of "Cellar" of higher knowledge or shifts of perceptions.
I know that in Donnie Darko Drew Barrimore's character is an English teacher that believes it to be the most beautiful phrase, but you've heard of other people who have thought this too? Do You?
